Combat sports equipment maker Hayabusa has teamed up with Marvel Entertainment for its new line of boxing gloves and gears inspired by some of the most popular Marvel superheroes.
Officially called Marvel Hero Elite Series, the collection includes 5 different boxing gloves inspired by the live-action iterations of Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and The Punisher.
The metallic and machine-like design of the Iron Man gloves reflects Tony Stark’s classic red and gold suit. The Captain America gloves, meanwhile, features huge and solid imprints of the superhero’s iconic vibranium shield.
For the Captain Marvel’s gloves, Carol Danvers’ signature emblem is on full display, while vibranium veins and Wakandan etchings adorn the Black Panther gloves. Lastly, inspired by Frank Castle’s tactical, black-ops combat gear, The Punisher gloves feature the vigilante’s signature warning mark to all who oppose him, the Punisher skull.
These gloves were all based on Hayabusa’s bestseller T3 boxing gloves model, which boasts two wrist straps that overlay, providing industry-leading wrist support. Made from ultra durable microfiber leather, T3 boxing gloves also feature proprietary foam composition and odor-resistant antimicrobial lining.
“These gloves can be used for pad work, for sparring with other individuals, for heavy bag workouts,” a spokesperson for Hayabusa, Eddie Daniels, told The Toronto Star. “We’ve done a lot of studies on hand support and wrist injuries and our gloves are based on these studies.”
Also included in the Marvel Hero Elite Series are The Punisher-inspired gi, long sleeve and short sleeve rash guards, and fight shorts. Each pair of boxing gloves is priced at $229.99. The gi retails for $199.99, the rash guards for $74.99 to $79.99, and the fight shorts for $79.99. The complete Marvel Hero Elite Series is now available for preorder with an estimated shipping date of early March.
