The fan craze over Baby Yoda has just gotten stronger. After launching thousands of memes following his November 12th debut on Disney+’s The Mandalorian, the ridiculously cute character have now begun to star in a couple of parody videos.
One video that has recently caught the attention of several fans is the Avengers: Endgame parody by YouTuber stryder HD. The 40-second clip starts with a bloody and beaten-up Captain America about to face Thanos. With only his broken shield as a weapon, Captain America is obviously no match for a well-armored Thanos wielding a double-edged sword. In the movie, that’s the time when those who were dusted in the Snap return and team up to defeat Thanos once and for all. But in the parody video, it’s Baby Yoda who arrives on the battlefield with his green mini lightsaber to help Captain America.
As of writing, the pretty hilarious video has already been viewed over 90,000 times, and uploader styder HD wrote in the comments section that a second part is coming soon.
A recent fan-made video shared by MaxeBaumannFilms2013 on YouTube has also been getting some love from Star Wars fans. The almost three-minute clip replaces Jedi master Yoda with Baby Yoda in a scene from 2005’s Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and has him fight with Darth Sidious in an epic lightsaber battle. As of writing, the video has already been viewed over 540,000 times.
While fans have yet to see Baby Yoda in a huge fight scene on Disney+’s The Mandalorian, the love that the character has been receiving on social media may likely prompt series creator Jon Favreau to create a more exciting and interesting story for Baby Yoda in future installments of the show.
A new episode of The Mandalorian airs every Friday on Disney+.
