Here’s what it would look like if The Boys and The Mandalorian did a crossover 1

Amazon’s The Boys and Disney+’s The Mandalorian are two of the most beloved TV series today, and while they are far different from one another in terms of tone, there are actually some fans who want to see a crossover of sorts between the two shows.

Since The Boys and The Mandalorian are from two completely different media franchises, an official mashup between the two is very unlikely. But if you’re wondering what a The Boys/The Mandalorian crossover would look like, then the photo below would give you a rough idea.

On Wednesday, the official Twitter account of The Boys shared a photo of Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) and Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso) from the show’s season 1, episode 5, titled Good for the Soul. For those who can’t remember, the duo tracked a shipment of Compound V in the episode and found themselves in a NICU, where they discovered that Vought is using the drug on infants to manufacture Supes years in advance.

When armed men came after them, Butcher grabbed a Supe baby from an incubator and used the infant’s laser eyes to kill the enemies. But in the photo shared on Twitter, the Supe baby was edited out and was replaced by The Mandalorian’s very own Baby Yoda.

Naturally, fans of The Boys and The Mandalorian find the photo amusing, with a lot of them calling the edited image the best crossover ever. Check out some of the fan reactions below:

While The Boys and The Mandalorian don’t share a narrative connection, there’s one thing that links the two, and that’s Giancarlo Esposito. The actor plays Vought CEO Stan Edgar in The Boys and portrays Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian.

Also, both shows are set to return for a third season. Filming for The Boys season 3 is scheduled to begin on February 1st and conclude on August 12th. The Mandalorian season 3, meanwhile, is currently in pre-production. It is expected to debut right after the freshman run of its spinoff The Book of Boba Fett, which will premiere on Disney+ in December 2021.
