Though it has been two weeks since Star Wars fans first met “Baby Yoda” from Disney+’s The Mandalorian, people’s obsession with the ridiculously cute character is far from over.
Just this Monday, Reddit user November2019 posted a screenshot of some of the available Star Wars avatars on Disney+, and since there’s currently no Baby Yoda icon in the lineup, November2019 used his image-editing skills and added a Baby Yoda icon to the collection. “Disney, I don’t think you understand how badly I need this,” November2019 wrote, along with the mock-up photo.

As of writing, the image has been upvoted 2000 times and has received over a hundred comments from fellow Star Wars fans, who also want to use a Baby Yoda avatar on the streaming service.
“I am currently Buzz, if they add Baby Yoda I’m changing 100%,” commented Redditor zwolff94.
Reddit user Cassopeia88 wrote, “Absolutely. I need anything with Baby Yoda.”
While it’s clear that a Baby Yoda icon would be a very welcome addition to Disney+’s collection of Star Wars avatars, a few fans pointed out that the streamer can’t add it just yet.
“Well, the fact you used a spoiler image to cover this up means that they can’t do it yet. It’s too big of a spoiler to do it yet,” wrote Redditor SentinelSquadron.
The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau recently revealed that there’s a conscious effort from everyone involved in the series to keep Baby Yoda a top secret prior to his debut appearance.
“I have to thank Disney and Lucasfilm, because the way the cat usually gets out of the bag with that stuff is merchandising and toy catalogs and things like that,” Favreau told Collider last week. “So they really back us up. We really wanted to have it be that you had to watch it yourself, so that every time you watch the show, there are new twists and secrets that come out. That requires a lot of restraint from the people who are footing the bill, saying they’re gonna hold back on certain things so that the public doesn’t know ahead of time. Part of that was holding back on some of the merchandise and holding back on some of the characters.”
While it looks like Star Wars fans have to wait for quite some time for a Baby Yoda Disney+ icon, the good thing is they are likely to see more of Baby Yoda in the future as The Mandalorian has already been renewed for a second season.
A new episode of The Mandalorian airs every Friday on Disney+.
