Roughly three weeks before the much-awaited release of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, LEGO revealed a new collection of limited-edition minifigure characters, straight from the movie.
These 20 cute and colorful figures are Awesome Remix Emmet, Battle-Ready Lucy, Apocalypse Benny, Giraffe Guy, Crayon Girl, Sherry Scratchen-Post & Scarfield, Hula Lula, Watermelon Dude, Flashback Lucy, The Swamp Creature, Candy Rapper, Gone Golfin’ President Business, Apocalypseburg Abe, Vest Friend Rex, Kitty Pop, Dorothy Gale & Toto, Cowardly Lion, Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Unikitty.
In addition to a collector’s leaflet and a unique display baseplate, each of these minifigures comes with one or more accessory elements. Some of these accessories are Emmet’s headphone wig, Lucy’s Hood and President Business’s golf club, plus apocalypse cat, Abraham Lincoln’s headpiece, Rex’s Fedora/Wig, Watermelon costume, Giraffe costume, Dorothy’s hairpiece, Tin Man’s Hat, Scarecrow’s Hat and Cowardly Lion’s Mane.
Each minifigure comes packed in a mystery bag. Unfortunately, LEGO cannot accommodate requests for specific minifigures. So if buyers receive two or more identical minifigures, they are encouraged to trade their extra minifigures with their friends and family. These minifigures will be available at all LEGO brand retail stores and starting on February 1st for $3.99 each.
These limited-edition minifigures aren’t the first LEGO products the toy manufacturer has revealed in line with the upcoming release of The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part. Earlier this month, LEGO unveiled the largest LEGO Movie-inspired construction set called Welcome to Apocalypseburg.
The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, which stars the voices of Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Tiffany Haddish, Will Arnett and more, will open in theaters on February 8th.
