The LEGO Minifigure Factory had gone online.

First launched as an in-store “Build a Minifigure” service in select LEGO stores in April 2022, the LEGO Minifigure Factory became an online experience as well.

What is LEGO Minifigure Factory?

The LEGO Minifigure Factory lets you personalize and order your own LEGO minifigure. The service lets you choose from a variety of minifigure heads, headwear, torsos, legs, and accessories. You can also customize the torso of your figure with different designs, and patterns, and even add some text to it.

How to build LEGO custom minifigures?

To create your own minifigure online, visit the LEGO Minifigure Factory page on the LEGO website, which you can find here. Once you’re there, click the “Customize Your Minifigure” button to start the process.

First, you will be asked to select a face for your minifigure. After that, you will be able to pick a hairstyle or a hat for your little mini-me. After which, you can begin customizing your minifigure’s torso. There’s a wide selection of outfits you can choose from, which you can further personalize by adding text and various images that can be resized and posited anywhere on the torso however you like.

LEGO wants its minifigure factory to be as fun as possible for everyone so it doesn’t allow the use of profanities, vulgar references, hate speech, or extremism. Third-party logos, names of organizations, and trademarks are also prohibited on its customized minifigures. English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish, and Ukrainian are the only languages supported by the LEGO Minifigure Factory as of now.

When you’re done designing the torso, you will be asked to choose legs for your minifigure, and lastly, add accessories like a hairbrush, sword, tennis racket, broomstick, trident, and many more.

LEGO Minifigure Factory orders will be sent with the same costs and delivery time as normal LEGO.com orders. If you ordered a LEGO set alongside your minifigure, you should receive both together.

Why aren’t there more minifigure pieces to choose from?

The online version of the LEGO Minifigure Factory is currently in the beta stage, so features and options are limited at the moment. More face prints, hairstyles, torso options, leg types, and accessories are expected to arrive on the service in time for its official launch, which has yet to be announced.

Is the LEGO Minifigure Factory still accessible online?

As of August 2023, the Lego Minifigure Factory website is temporarily closed. In October 2022, the shop’s online page said that LEGO was working on improving the service and that it would return at some point in the future.

The service, however, is still available in-store at select LEGO locations. Visit the LEGO Booking website to reserve a visit to a store near you.
