A recent photo leak revealed that Chris Evans’ character might be sporting a new battle gear in the upcoming Marvel movie that is both a throwback to his old outfit and a cool update to his original costume.
As seen in the leaked photo below, the chin strap on Captain America’s headgear is back, and a chain mail-style design is added to the hero’s body armor.
Inverse pointed out that the artwork was first shared on Facebook by T-shirt company HappyHill this past September, but resurfaced on December 27th after similar pieces of promo art were posted on Reddit. While it’s possible that these aren’t official marketing collateral, there’s one detail that makes a lot of fans think that these are legit.
The illustration below, which features Hawkeye as Ronin, was published on September 15th — almost three months before the first Avengers: Endgame trailer confirmed the transformation of Clint Barton into the masterless samurai.
The artwork below, which shows Barton’s new haircut, was also posted on September 15th.
While that seems to be a solid proof that these graphics are not just mere fan arts, some fans still choose to treat the photo leak with a grain of salt. Regardless of the authenticity of the pictures, there’s no denying that these graphic arts have made fans even more excited for the upcoming Avengers sequel. Other Avengers featured in the photo leak are Iron-Man, Black Widow, Thor, Hulk, Nebula, Rocket, Ant-Man, and newcomer Captain Marvel.
In addition to the surviving mightiest heroes, Thanos is also featured in a couple of leaked photos. In one of the artwork, the Mad Titan is seen wielding a mysterious double-bladed sword. Could this be MCU’s version of the Infinity Sword?
Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 24th, 2019.
