The popular board game Labyrinth is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year with the release of its Super Mario edition in North America.
Previously released in Europe, the Super Mario Labyrinth will officially drop in the U.S. and Canada on Wednesday, September 8th, and is now available for preorder on Amazon for $34.99.
In Super Mario Labyrinth, Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Princess Peach, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and other characters from the beloved Nintendo video game franchise are lost in a maze. On each turn, players shift the maze and move along the path, trying to get to the characters on their respective cards while blocking their opponents. The first one to find all the characters and make it back to their starting point wins the game.
Easy enough for kids to play but still fun for adults, the Super Mario Labyrinth is suitable for two to four players ages 7 and up and takes 20-30 minutes to play. With great replay value, Super Mario Labyrinth is a perfect gift for families and friends who love Super Mario.
Each Super Mario Labyrinth includes one game board, 34 maze tiles, 24 character cards, and four playing pieces. It also comes with clear instructions that will walk players step-by-step through the game as they set up and start to play. The rulebook includes instructions in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, and Portuguese.
First published by German game and toy company Ravensburger back in 1986, Labyrinth has already sold over 20 million copies sold in 60 countries around the world.
