HelloFresh has partnered with Nintendo for Super Mario-inspired meal kits and a contest in celebration of next month’s Mario Day.

Starting February 26th, HelloFresh is offering four different family-friendly meals that are sure to delight Mario fans in Canada. Available for only two weeks, these meal kits come with officially licensed Mario-themed crafting activities, such as place cards and cup wrappers that will help fans put the final touches on their great family dinner.

To make this year’s Mario Day more special, HelloFresh, as mentioned above, is also giving Canadian fans a chance to enter a Super Mario contest. Customers who purchase a Mario meal kit during the two-week period will have the chance to win one of 30 prize packs.

The grand prize consists of one Nintendo Switch system, one Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game, one Super Mario Maker 2 game, one Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury game, one New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe game, four weeks of HelloFresh four-pack meal, and other licensed Mario products.

Meanwhile, each of the 29 secondary prizes includes a Nintendo Switch system and a digital version of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game. More details on how to enter the contest can be seen in the contest card found in each HelloFresh x Nintendo meal kit.

What is Mario Day?

Mario Day is an annual celebration of the entire Mario franchise. It takes place every March 10th of the year because the date, written as “Mar10”, looks like “Mario”. Originally created by fans, the holiday is celebrated by Mario enthusiasts around the world by dressing up as Mario characters, having Mario-themed parties, or simply playing Mario games. Nintendo officially embraced the holiday in 2016 and started celebrating it annually by promoting Mario games and holding Mario-themed events.
