Twin sisters Danielle and Nicole love dressing up so much that they opened their own vintage clothing shop called Betty Berry. To help promote the fashion pieces they sell, the models-turned-business owners create head-to-toe outfits inspired by popular fictional characters. This marketing campaign started with the siblings imagining what Disney Princesses would look like if they were dressed in vintage clothing, and has since expanded to feature retro attires based on other characters from Disney, Cartoon Network, MGM, and many others. Take a look at some of the duo’s amazing fashion creations in the slideshow below:
#1 Belle from Beauty and the Beast
Inspired by Belle’s primary outfit from Disney’s 1991 animated classic Beauty and the Beast, this casual getup is perfect for the spring and summer. The character’s white long-sleeved shirt from the movie is brought to life in the form of a similar top with a puritan-like collar. And instead of completing Belle’s signature attire with a blue sleeveless dress, the twins opt for a pair of blue denim overalls for a more casual look.
Though not as majestic as Cinderella’s iconic ball gown from the eponymous 1950’s animated film, this summer casual attire has the same blue color theme. The vintage checkered top also features a wide shoulder neckline similar to that of the character’s silvery-blue dress. Completing the outfit is a pair of high-waisted denim shorts that gives the wearer a chance to show off some major leg.
#3 Anna from Frozen 2
Based on Anna’s outfit during her travels to the Enchanted Forest in the 2019 film Frozen 2, this winter wear is comprised of gray loose cropped pants, a purple fur jacket, and a yellow gold turtleneck top underneath a black long-sleeved shirt with floral and leaf motifs. The multi-layer getup is also accessorized with a brown leather belt and a pair of boots.
#4 Elsa from Frozen 2
Easy-on-the-eyes, this cozy outfit is inspired by the light blue jacket and pale blue dress that Elsa wore during her travels to the Enchanted Forest in Frozen 2. Primarily composed of washed denim jeans and light-blue button-up collared shirt with crochet sleeve cuffs, this casual attire is made magical with a snowflake-themed belt.]
#5 Ariel from The Little Mermaid
Based on Ariel’s underwater look from the 1989 film The Little Mermaid, this ‘80s ensemble includes a pair of wide-leg pants that has the same blue-green color as the character’s mermaid tail, and a velvet spaghetti strap top that has the same purple color as the Princess of Atlantica’s seashell bra. Completing the retro outfit is a white long-sleeved shirt underneath the strap top and a silver metal belt with an apparent floral design.
#6 Ariel and Prince Eric from The Little Mermaid
Though not carbon copies, these two sets of attires have undeniable similarities with the original outfits worn by human Ariel and Prince Eric from the movie The Little Mermaid. Like human Ariel’s set of clothes from the film, the twins’ version includes a long-sleeved blouse and a dark-colored bodice. But instead of adding a foot-length skirt to the mix, the siblings opt for a knee-length denim skirt that gives the getup a touch of rustic charm. The sisters’ version of Eric’s outfit, meanwhile, replaces the original’s red sash with a leather belt, which helps establish the attire’s vintage theme.
#7 Sebastian and Flounder from The Little Mermaid
If Sebastian and Flounder were human characters, then this is probably how the duo would dress up. Sebastian’s outfit is comprised of a rose-pink turtleneck shirt, bright red denim jacket, hot pink trousers, and a pair of hyper magenta Chuck Taylor hi-tops. Flounder’s getup, meanwhile, includes a blue beret, white undershirt, yellow denim jacket, yellow/blue striped cropped flare pants, and a pair of white sneakers.
#8 Tiana from The Princess and the Frog
Inspired by Tiana’s iconic lily pad ball gown from the 2009 animated film The Princess and the Frog, this outfit includes a long-sleeved white shirt, a silvery blue spaghetti tank top with yellow piping, light-green trousers, and a pair of white sneakers. Though the tank top has a prominent shiny silky texture, it surprisingly blends fine with the rest of the attire.
#9 Aurora from Sleeping Beauty – Version 1
Perfect for cold days, this multi-layered attire is based on Aurora’s peasant garb from the 1959 animated classic Sleeping Beauty. It features a black sweetheart tube top that stands in for the character’s bodice, as well as turtleneck shirt and trousers that both serve as a substitute for the Disney Princess’ long-sleeved calf-length frock. Completing the casual getup is a purple denim jacket, which is a clear nod to the royalty’s purple shawl from the movie.
#10 Aurora from Sleeping Beauty – Version 2
An ideal outfit for strolling in the park, this simple yet striking ensemble is inspired by Aurora’s pink ball gown from the movie Sleeping Beauty. Featuring a pink denim overall shorts over a white cropped blouse with puffy sleeves, this attire gives off a sweet and youthful vibe.

The robe’s purple and magenta inner fabrics, on the other hand, are recreated with a purple tie-front shirt and a pair of magenta leggings.
#12 Snow White
This chic summer outfit is popping with bright bold colors found on Snow White’s signature court dress from the 1937 animated classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The attire’s blue cropped top with puffy sleeves is based on Snow White’s dark blue bodice from the movie, while the high-waisted yellow shorts are inspired by the Disney princess’ ankle-length light-yellow skirt. The red heart-shaped sling bag, meanwhile, appears to be a nod to the red fabric poking through the sleeves of the character’s Tudor-style getup.
#13 Lilo and Stitch
This pair of matching attires is based on the looks of the titular characters from the 2002 animated film Lilo & Stitch. The Lilo-inspired outfit has the same shade as the character’s red muumuu dress from the movie. Though it doesn’t feature any Hawaiian leaf motifs like Lilo’s muumuu dress, the vintage ensemble’s short-sleeved shirt is filled with patterns of Polynesian designs. The long-sleeved zip-up shirt included in the Stitch-inspired outfit also features similar Polynesian prints but in blue shade.

Completing the retro ensemble are a blue beret, a pair of white trousers, and yellow Chuck Taylor low tops.
#16 Peter Pan
This dapper outfit is a vintage take on Peter Pan’s elf-like attire. Comprised of a green short-sleeved shirt, blue-green trousers, green beret, brown belt, and a pair of black shoes, this set of color-coordinated clothing is something that both boys and girls can easily pull off.
Our noses will definitely grow if we say that this set of vintage apparel isn’t fashionable.
