Vought International removes Starlight from The Seven mural

Vought International continues to do damage control after Starlight (Erin Moriarty) publicly called out the superhero conglomerate for its evil deeds in an Instagram Live in season 3 of The Boys.

Vought recently took to Twitter to reveal that Starlight’s image from The Seven mural at the company’s headquarters has been erased in response to the accusations she made against the firm and its leader, Homelander (Antony Starr).

“At Vought, we believe in providing a safe and welcoming work environment for employees. That’s why we’ve removed Starlight from the famous mural at Vought Tower at a somewhat minimal cost to shareholders. Now important business can resume without a traitor looking on!” read the company’s tweet that comes with a photo of the updated painting.

Last June, Homelander also released a statement addressing the allegations made by Starlight in the said Instagram Live.

“The recent accusations made by Annie January, codename Starlight, on a recent social media livestream in no way reflect Vought International as a whole,” said Homelander. “Vought assures our shareholders that we will use the full power of the American Legal System to fight these spurious allegations. We can also confirm that January has been terminated and her status as co-captain of The Seven rescinded, effective immediately.”

Homelander went on to describe Starlight as “a glory hound who became hysterical with rage” after he ended their relationship, which, as the viewers know, was fake. Homelander noted that a reconciliation between the two is impossible after her “crazed jealousy has boiled over into insurrectionists territory.” Homelander ended his statement by saying that Vought “ultimately regret[ted] making January a member of The Seven.”

Starlight’s stint in The Seven

Starlight was picked as the newest member of The Seven in season 1 of The Boys following Lamplighter’s (Shawn Ashmore) retirement. Though she first rejoiced at being selected, she soon realized that her membership with The Seven comes with a price. For instance, she was forced to disregard her morals in return for Vought’s profit.

The Boys Series Starlight

In season 2, Starlight worked closely with the titular The Boys to help bring Vought down. When Homelander found out that she stole a sample of Compound V to have proof that Supes aren’t born, but are made, she was denounced as a criminal and a traitor of The Seven. But after revealing Stormfront’s (Aya Cash) Nazi past, she got reinstated into The Seven and cleared of criminal charges.

At the start of season 3, Starlight became a co-captain of The Seven. She, however, ultimately quit the superhero team when she could no longer take lying to the people about the threat Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) possessed. After defeating Soldier at the end of the season, Starlight threw away her superhero costume and officially joins The Boys.

The Boys season 4 plot

Plot details for season 4 of The Boys are being kept under wraps, but the show recently cast The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan in an undisclosed recurring role. Showrunner Eric Kripke also revealed that season 4’s first episode is titled Department of Dirty Tricks.

The Boys season 4 release date

Amazon Prime Video has yet to announce a release date for The Boys season 4, but filming for the new season had already started last month, as confirmed by a tweet from Starr.
