Over the years, Fortnite has seen its share of crossovers ranging from collabs with everything from sports teams, Star Wars, comics, and even concerts. To that effect, Fortnite has been able to make franchise crossovers an integral part of its culture. And now, it seems the newest crossover has been spotted and it’ll take you all the way to a pineapple under the sea.
Users have found a new leaked icon on the PlayStation that may reportedly be linked to the upcoming season of Fortnite. If assumptions are correct, players will be launched into a Spongebob Squarepants crossover. Because of this, players are suspecting that Fortnite’s next season will be heavily influenced by an underwater or water-based theme for the upcoming season, including flooding.
Apparently the Season 13 Icon got leaked in the PlayStation Store while I was asleep! ?
The Underwater theme is now confirmed, just like all the other leaks related to it! pic.twitter.com/3aJWO3l6XV

The assumption that it would be a Spongebob Squarepants crossover is because of the island found in the background of the linked art. It much too closely resembles the island in the Spongebob Squarepants’ opening credits. If this does prove to be true, players are expecting not just a water-themed season but Spongebob-inspired skins and equipment as well.
Currently, on Chapter 2 of Season 2, Fortnite’s third season was expected to launch this week on June 4th but has now been pushed back to June 11.
