Your morning is about to get cuter with the upcoming release of General Mills’ Baby Yoda cereal.
The breakfast treat, based on the popular character dubbed as The Child from the Star Wars spinoff The Mandalorian, is set to hit Sam’s Club and Walmart stores across the country later this summer.
Previously teased on May 4th, aka Star Wars Day, the fruity flavored sweetened cereal comes with light green marshmallows in the shape of Baby Yoda’s head. The cereal will be available in a double pack-box in late July at Sam’s Club for $5.98. Single boxes of the cereal, meanwhile, will arrive at Walmart locations in mid-August. Pricing for the single box has yet to be announced.
The Baby Yoda cereal will only be available for a limited time, so if you’re obsessed with the Mandalorian foundling, make sure to stock up on multiple boxes while supplies last.
Interestingly, this isn’t the only Baby Yoda-inspired General Mills product that is coming out in the coming months. As first reported by Nerdist in February, the consumer foods manufacturer is also releasing The Child Tongue Tattoo Fruit Roll-Ups in September ― just a month before The Mandalorian season 2 premiere.
Though many TV productions have taken a hit due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the sophomore run of The Mandalorian is still set to arrive on Disney+ as scheduled, as filming on season 2 was completed last March, just a couple of weeks before quarantine measures have been implemented. Plot details about the new season are being kept under wraps, but it was reported in April that season 2 will feature the live-action debut of Star Wars: The Clone Wars character Ahsoka Tano.
