Fans can sample 6 new MTN DEW flavors at MTN DEW Outpost

Mountain Dew tested six never-before-released flavors at the MTN DEW Outpost in June 2022.

What is MTN DEW Outpost?

MTN DEW Outpost was a nine-day event that celebrated the new activities on Doe Mountain in Tennessee, where the original formula for the carbonated soft drink was invented back in 1940.

Opened from June 4th to June 12th, 2022, from 8 a.m. ET until dusk, the MTN DEW Outpost marked a new era for Doe Mountain, as the soda brand started to fund new projects on the mountain, including an archery course and expansion of trails that open access to 3,000 acres of unexplored land.

Aside from a new mountainside overlook and viewing platform with an epic sight of Mountain City that visitors enjoyed at the MTN DEW Outpost, guests also participated in a range of free outdoor and DEW adventures, including the MTN DEW Outpost Flavor Adventure where consumers tried a variety of never-before-released MTN DEW flavors.

“MTN DEW Outpost honors DEW fans’ bold approach to flavor and outdoor adventure,” said Pat O’Toole, chief marketing officer at MTN DEW, in a statement in May 2022. “The mountain projects we’ve funded, along with the variety of activities we’re offering fans, back our commitment to helping nature lovers access more of the great outdoors. In addition to mountain activities we’re hosting, this is the first time we’re offering fans the opportunity to try never-released flavors at the MTN DEW Outpost Flavor Adventure. Fans can sample six new flavors and vote for their favorite, helping MTN DEW decide whether any of these flavors will be released in the future.”

What are the six new MTN DEW flavors?

According to ComicBook.com, the six new varieties that were tested at the MTN DEW Outpost were pickle, apple cinnamon, s’mores, elderberry, huckleberry, and summer “pop” flavors. Details about the new varieties are being kept under wraps, but the website reported that the pickle flavor is said to be a “sour sweet complement to Southern BBQ.”

Recognizing that DEW Nation is passionate about exclusive offerings, Mountain Dew gave the visitors who participated in this rare tasting experience the opportunity to provide their opinions on the new flavors to help the soda brand decide on their future flavor releases.

Is MTN DEW Outpost free?

Mountain Dew provided complimentary mountain passes for all the visitors that came throughout the duration of MTN DEW Outpost. The free passes gave the guests access to Doe Mountain, all Mountain Dew-sponsored activities, and the MTN DEW Outpost Flavor Adventure.

Doe Mountain annual pass holders were also welcome to visit the MTN DEW Outpost but they needed to register for all the activities on-site.
