Little Caesars is offering a new pizza creation inspired by the upcoming The Batman movie.
Called The Batman Calzony, the limited-time menu item is a bat-shaped version of Little Caesars’ Crazy Calzony, which was originally introduced in August 2021. Combining calzone and pizza, the Batman-inspired pizza features a tantalizing flavor profile of buttery-tasting, calzone crust filled with garlic white sauce, cheese, and julienned pepperoni, combined with a pepperoni pizza and served with a side of Crazy Sauce.
Priced at $7.99, The Batman Calzony is now available at participating Little Caesars locations nationwide. Customers can order it for delivery using the Little Caesars app, or pre-pay and then conveniently collect it using Pizza Portal pickup at select Little Caesars restaurants. Customers can also stop by Little Caesars near them between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. to pick up The Batman Calzony without preordering.
“Anyone can now bring superhero vibes to pizza night by trying the new The Batman Calzony,” said Jeff Klein, chief marketing officer at Little Caesars, in a statement. “It’s the most delicious part of our partnership with the upcoming film The Batman.”
Directed by Matt Reeves, The Batman stars Robert Pattinson as the titular Caped Crusader. Set in his second year of fighting crime, the film sees Bruce Wayne/Batman, diving deep into the shadows of Gotham City. With only a few trusted allies ― Alfred Pennyworth (Andy Serkis), Lt. James Gordon (Jeffrey Wright) ― amongst the city’s corrupt network of officials and high-profile figures, the lone vigilante has established himself as the sole embodiment of vengeance amongst his fellow citizens.
But when a killer targets Gotham’s elite with a series of sadistic machinations, a trail of cryptic clues sends Batman on an investigation into the underworld, where he encounters Selina Kyle/Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), Oswald Cobblepot/The Penguin (Colin Farrell), Carmine Falcone (John Turturro), and Edward Nashton/The Riddler (Paul Dano). As the evidence starts to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans becomes clear, Batman must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit, and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued Gotham City.
A reboot of the Batman film franchise, The Batman is intended to launch a Batman shared universe, with two sequels planned and two spin-off television series in development for HBO Max. Also starring Peter Sarsgaard as Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Bella Real, and Barry Keoghan as Officer Stanley Merkel, The Batman is set to open in U.S. theaters on March 4th.
