Thirty years. That’s how long pizza lovers have waited—some patiently, others with a touch of exasperation—for Domino’s to finally enter the stuffed crust arena. While competitors have long embraced this indulgent delight, Domino’s, a titan of the pizza world, remained a holdout. But the wait is over. With the launch of its new Parmesan Stuffed Crust, Domino’s is officially joining the game, promising a “stuffed to perfection” experience. The question now is: after decades of anticipation, can it live up to the hype?
Is Domino’s Parmesan Stuffed Crust Worth the Wait?
Made with premium, buttery-flavored dough, Domino’s Parmesan Stuffed Crust features a gooey center filled with 100% real mozzarella, topped with Domino’s signature garlic seasoning and a sprinkle of Parmesan for an extra burst of flavor.
“One of the most common questions we’re asked is, ‘When will you launch stuffed crust?’” said Kate Trumbull, Domino’s executive vice president – chief marketing officer, in a statement. “We’re excited to announce that our first-ever stuffed crust is finally here, and we promise, it is worth the wait. We think the best stuffed crust was saved for last.”
But what makes Domino’s version stand out from the rest? According to Trumbull, it all comes down to taste. “Anyone can add cheese to their most popular crust type, but we started with our premium, buttery Handmade Pan dough and topped it with our signature garlic seasoning, which we know customers love. To make the crust even more cheesy and delectable, we finished it with a shake of real Parmesan. We believe our crust is so delicious, in fact, that we’re launching Cheat Receipts – a sweepstakes that gives away free Domino’s Parmesan Stuffed Crust Pizza to anyone who has ordered stuffed crust elsewhere in the past. We want customers to try it for themselves and put our new crust to the test!”
This launch marks a significant shift for Domino’s, which has notably lagged behind its competitors in offering stuffed crust. Pizza Hut pioneered the concept in 1995, with a now-iconic crust filled with molten cheese. Its immediate success spurred other major chains, including Papa John’s, to introduce their own versions. For 30 years, Domino’s remained conspicuously absent from this popular pizza category, making their recent entry all the more noteworthy.
Got a Stuffed Crust Receipt? Domino’s Will Trade It for a Free Pizza!
To atone for their late entry into the stuffed crust game, Domino’s is launching the “Cheat Receipts” giveaway, a $250,000 gesture aimed at converting loyal stuffed crust enthusiasts. Recognizing years of unmet cravings, Domino’s is offering a chance to win a free Parmesan Stuffed Crust Pizza to those who have indulged in the competition’s offerings.
Here’s how to participate in the giveaway, running until March 23rd:
