Little Caesars is bringing back a fan-favorite with a delicious upgrade! Its beloved Pretzel Crust Pizza is making a return, now with a cheesy twist. This time, the popular pizza chain is embracing the stuffed crust trend by introducing the new Stuffed Pretzel Crust Pizza. Read on to learn everything you need to know about the cheesy comeback of Little Caesars’ Pretzel Crust Pizza.
Pretzel Crust Pizza and the new Stuffed Pretzel Crust Pizza
Little Caesars’ Pretzel Crust Pizza is a fan-favorite menu item that features a buttery, soft pretzel crust instead of traditional pizza dough. It’s topped with cheddar cheese sauce, mozzarella, and Muenster cheeses, and finished with a sprinkle of cheddar for a savory, salty crunch. The pizza originally debuted as a limited-time offering and has made several comebacks due to popular demand.
In its latest return, Little Caesars has introduced the Stuffed Pretzel Crust Pizza, which includes gooey, melted cheese baked inside the crust, giving fans an even more indulgent option. Guests can also choose to swap the cheddar cheese sauce for traditional marinara to customize their experience.
“We heard our fans loud and clear—they wanted Pretzel Crust back, and we knew we had to take it up a notch,” said Greg Hamilton, Chief Marketing Officer at Little Caesars, in a press release announcing the return of the fan-favorite menu item. “With the new Stuffed Pretzel Crust, we’re allowing guests to choose their ultimate cheesy, salty, and savory experience.”
When is the Pretzel Crust Pizza coming back?
Starting March 31st, the classic Pretzel Crust Pizza and the new Stuffed Pretzel Crust Pizza will be available online at participating Little Caesars locations. Then, from April 7th to June 22nd, both varieties—classic and stuffed—will be Hot-N-Ready daily from 4–8 p.m. and can be ordered in-store and online.
Little Caesars joins the ongoing pizza crust wars
The return of Little Caesars’ Pretzel Crust Pizza further heats up the ongoing pizza crust wars, where fast-food chains are going all-in on crust innovations—reminiscent of the crispy chicken sandwich wars of 2019, where brands fiercely competed to win over customers with the best offering.
Earlier this month, Domino’s shocked fans by launching its first-ever Stuffed Crust Pizza, marking its long-overdue entry into the stuffed crust game. Made with premium, buttery-flavored dough, Domino’s Parmesan Stuffed Crust features a gooey center filled with 100% real mozzarella, topped with Domino’s signature garlic seasoning and a sprinkle of Parmesan for an extra burst of flavor.
Meanwhile, Pizza Hut, the originators of stuffed crust, fired back by reviving its Cheesy Bite Pizza—a pull-apart creation featuring 28 cheese-filled bites lining the crust.
Pizza Hut pioneered the stuffed crust concept in 1995, with a now-iconic crust filled with molten cheese. Its immediate success spurred other major chains, including Papa John’s, to introduce their own versions. For 30 years, Domino’s remained conspicuously absent from this popular pizza category, making their recent entry all the more noteworthy.
