Deadpool 3 Wolverine Suit
On Monday, July 10, 2023, Jackman and his Deadpool 3 co-star Ryan Reynolds both took to Instagram to share a photo from the set of the upcoming film. This picture isn’t your regular on-set photo as it shows Jackman wearing a yellow and blue Wolverine suit similar to the clawed mutant’s look in the comics and in the X-Men animated series that originally ran on the Fox Kids Network during the ‘90s.
Jackman has appeared in eight X-Men movies since 2000, but the actor never actually wore a suit that resembles the one worn by the animated version of the character.
As pointed out by Entertainment Weekly, there was a joke about Wolverine’s classic yellow costume in the 2000 film X-Men, in which the actors all wore black jumpsuits. (“You actually go outside in these things?” “What would you prefer? Yellow spandex?”).
As fans can remember, there was also a deleted scene from the 2013 film The Wolverine, in which Jackman as Logan opens a case to reveal his alter-ego’s suit within. That tease, however, never made it to the final cut of any of the finished X-Men movies.
The recently released image from the set of Deadpool 3, which came direct from Jackman’s and Reynold’s Instagram Stories, also shows Reynolds wearing a slightly altered Deadpool costume from the previous Deadpool. Both of the actors’ social media posts read, “Don’t Blink.”
