Halloween is just around the corner, and in an attempt to make everyone pumped up for the upcoming trick-or-treating season, digital artist Emma.G, who goes by the Instagram handle ekg.arts, has started to create illustrations that reimagine Disney Princesses as witches. Using the free app ibis Paint X on her 12.9-inch iPad Pro, Emma has already transformed 10 Disney Princesses into badass-looking witches, which you can see below:

#1 Pocahontas

The first Disney Princess to get Emma’s Halloween treatment was Pocahontas. Rocking a dark-green sweetheart tube top, Emma’s witch version of Pocahontas has a glowing crescent moon tattoo on her forehead. Her first version of the artwork shows the character with a neck-length hair, but after learning from her Native American followers that long hair is a symbol of strength and power in their culture, Emma decided to create a second version featuring Pocahontas’ original long black hair.

#2 Mulan

Like witch Pocahontas, witch Mulan also has a glowing crescent moon tattoo on her forehead. Witch Mulan, however, has a more apparent gothic look, which she managed to achieve, thanks to her black and red hair, black makeup, black star earring, black choker, black nail polish, and dress with long black see-through sleeves.

#3 Ariel

Wielding a magic wand, this witch version of Ariel is also giving off some serious gothic vibes. Wearing a black top with fishnet sleeves, the Princess of Atlantica completes her look with heavy kohl eye makeup, black choker, black earring, and black nail polish.

#4 Tiana

Wearing a sultry purple dress with gold strings on the back, Emma’s witch version of Tiana is a potion-spilling baddie. Completing her cunning look is a golden spider earring that matches the yellow glow of her crescent moon tattoo on her forehead.

#5 Jasmine

It looks like Emma’s Halloween version of Jasmine isn’t simply a witch. Staring into a crystal ball, this gothic reimagining of the Princess of Agrabah also appears to be a fortune-teller who loves tattoos and body piercings.

#6 Megara

Megara is playing “he loves me, he loves me not” using her witchcraft skills in this Halloween reimagining of the Hercules character. Wearing a skimpy mini dress with fishnet stockings, witch Megara looks more cunning with her black eyeshadow and lipstick.

#7 Aurora

This witch version of Aurora looks queenly and wicked at the same time in her dark blue dress with pointy sleeves. While her white beaded necklace gives her appearance a touch of purity, this is overshadowed by her dark makeup that gives her a deceitful vibe.

#8 Belle

Clutching a book of spells in her ‘90s sun and moon-patterned top, Belle’s witch alter ego completes her occult look with a pair of pentagram earrings and a maroon lipstick.

#9 Merida

Merida is all set for Halloween. Wearing a costume of Winifred Sanderson from the 1993 film Hocus Pocus, the Princess of DunBroch even cut her long curly locks just to copy the hairstyle of the eldest Sanderson witch siblings.

#10 Rapunzel

Most recently, Emma turned Rapunzel into the Hocus Pocus character Sarah Sanderson. Emma plans to complete the three Sanderson sisters, so it means that more artworks will be added to her series of Disney Princesses reimagined as witches.

If you’re wondering how you can purchase these artworks, Emma commented on one of her posts that she’s currently working on a website where fans can buy them as digital prints and stickers. To see how Emma creates her Disney art, check out her TikTok account here.
