ABC has finally dropped the first official trailer for the seventh and final season of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD.

The almost two-minute video, however, appears to be a compilation of teasers and clips that were previously released by the network. The trailer starts with an deadly encounter between three New York City police officers and three Chronicoms that traveled back in time to 1930s Earth in pursuit of LMD Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg) and his team of SHIELD agents. The scene, which was first released at the D23 Expo 2019 last August, results in the death of the two officers. And when the surviving police officer asks what the aliens want from them, the leader of the Chronicom trio pulls a gun-like weapon on the cop and dreadfully steals his face.

The trailer also includes a quick shot of LMD Coulson, Melinda May (Ming-na Wen), and Daisy Johnson (Chloe Bennet) sharing the screen with Agent Carter’s Daniel Sousa (Enver Gjokaj). This confirms the previously announced crossover between Agents of SHIELD and the now-defunct ABC series Agent Carter.

Ending the video is a brief convo between LMD Coulson and Johnson, which basically sums up the team’s final mission. “So, you’re saying we have to save SHIELD?” Johnson asks. To which he answers, “We have to save Hydra.”

According to the synopsis for the show’s Season 7, Coulson and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. are thrust backward in time and find themselves stranded in 1931 New York City. With the all-new Zephyr set to time-jump at any moment, they must hurry to find out exactly what happened to avoid disaster for the past, present, and future of the world.

The 13-episode final season of Agents of SHIELD premieres on Wednesday, May 27th at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
