Agents of SHIELD star Chloe Bennet is reportedly set to make an appearance in Marvel’s Avengers 5 movie.
According to We Got This Covered, Bennet’s character Daisy Johnson, aka Quake, will make her big-screen debut in the next Avengers installment, aside from appearing in the planned Disney+ series S.W.O.R.D.
Sources said that Quake’s role in Avengers 5 will be similar to that of Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill. But since Quake has superpowers herself, it doesn’t look like she would be assisting the team remotely from the headquarters.
Bennet has been one of the main characters of Agents of SHIELD since it premiered back in 2013. But now that the ABC series is ending with its upcoming Season 7, the path is cleared for Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige to bring Quake to the big-screen.
Avengers 5 hasn’t officially been announced yet, but since the first four Avengers movies were all box-office hits, it’s hard to imagine that Marvel won’t be making another superhero team-up movie. Also, the scoop that Bennet’s Johnson is appearing in Avengers 5 came from the same ones who revealed that Taskmaster would be the main villain in this year’s Black Widow movie ― a news tidbit that turned out to be true.
Though Avengers 5 is not yet included in Marvel’s current slate of upcoming films. Fans have at least eight Marvel movies to look forward to, namely the aforementioned Black Widow (November 6th, 2020), The Eternals (February 12th, 2021), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (May 7th, 2021), an untitled Spider-Man: Far From Home sequel (July 16th, 2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (November 5th, 2021), Thor: Love and Thunder (February 18th, 2022), Black Panther II (May 6th, 2022), and an untitled Captain Marvel sequel (July 8th, 2022).
Meanwhile, the seventh and final season of Agents of SHIELD will premiere on Wednesday, May 27th, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
