Xbox announced last month that it has teamed up with Adidas for a series of sneaker collaboration to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The two brands kicked off their partnership with the October reveal of the Xbox 20th Forum Tech, an Adidas Originals sneaker inspired by the special edition release of the original Xbox console for the launch of Halo: Combat Evolved back in 2001. The Xbox 20th Forum Tech was not available for purchase, so Xbox and Adidas made sure that their second sneaker collab, the Xbox 360 Forum Mid, is something that fans can actually buy.
Officially unveiled on Wednesday, the Xbox 360 Forum Mid draws inspiration from the colors of the original Xbox 360 console: white, silver, and green. The strap of the sneaker has an Xbox 360 disc tray design, while the heel has references to the distinctive removable hard drive and memory unit slots of the titular video game console.
The outer side of the Xbox 360 Forum Mid is adorned with the console’s iconic Xbox button, while the inner side has a panel reminiscent of the gaming box’s signature air vents. The shoe’s outer sole, meanwhile, is marked with the console’s power button.
The Xbox 360 Forum Mid comes with four additional pairs of laces in red, yellow, green, and blue, which represent the face buttons of the Xbox 360 controller.
Priced at $160, the Xbox 360 Forum Mid is set to go on sale in the U.S. and Canada on November 4th at 10 a.m. ET via adidas.com.
Official details of the third and final Xbox x Adidas sneaker collab inspired by Xbox Series X, which will be available for fans to purchase globally, will be revealed during the Xbox and Halo 20th anniversary broadcast on November 15th on Twitter.
