Sean Wotherspoon has reaffirmed its ongoing partnership with adidas with his very own reimagination of the iconic EQT ‘93 sneaker.
adidas Sean Wotherspoon EQT Shoes
Unveiled on April 2nd, the adidas Sean Wotherspoon EQT Shoes feature an upper that encases hardy Cordura materials with a techy-looking mesh. 25% of the components used to make the uppers are made with a minimum of 50% recycled content, which is generated from production waste like cutting scraps, and post-consumer household waste to avoid the larger environmental impact of producing virgin content.
Also called EQUIPMENT Support 93 Shoes, these sneakers are finished with a series of signature embroidered flower motifs on the heel, adidas EQUIPMENT branding on the tongue, and a rugged rubber outsole built for any trail. Each pair also comes with an extra bag of lace beads, allowing fans to customize the footwear’s look.
When and where will the adidas Sean Wotherspoon EQT Shoes be available?
The sneakers will be available globally through adidas.com, the adidas CONFIRMED app, and select retailers starting April 6th.
How much is a pair of the adidas Sean Wotherspoon EQT Shoes?
The adidas Sean Wotherspoon EQT Shoes will retail for $180 a pair.
Who is Sean Wotherspoon?
Wotherspoon is one of the founders of the vintage Virginia-based sneaker store Round Two, which pays for sneakers in cash rather than consignment, allowing sellers to get paid faster and for the store to flip the sneakers at lower price points than the competition.
Wotherspoon was just 23 when he got into the business, but in just a few years, it’s taken off dramatically. In 2015, Wotherspoon, with the help of his business partner Chris Russow, launched the Round Two The Show on YouTube to cover his life in the sneaker industry.
He has then become more popular after designing the Nike Air Max 97/1, which was released in 2017.
Sean Wotherspoon x adidas partnership
As a founder of the ever-expanding Round Two empire, Wotherspoon’s passion for classic sportswear and obsession with vintage memorabilia have seen him develop a number of sell-out sneaker and apparel releases in partnership with adidas. These include his debut reimagination of the iconic Superstar SUPEREARTH, a patchwork take on the ZX 8000, and the adidas SUPERTURF ADVENTURE SEAN WOTHERSPOON sneakers, which are now available in a number of colorways.
