The release date for the new Queer as Folk series has finally been announced. So when does Queer as Folk start on Peacock?
Where can I watch the reboot of Queer as Folk?
The reboot of Queer as Folk will be available to stream on Peacock starting June 9th.
What will the Queer as Folk reboot be about?
A reimagination of the hit 1998 ITV series of the same name, the Queer as Folk reboot is set in New Orleans and follows a diverse group of friends who find their lives transformed in the aftermath of a tragedy.
Stephen Dunn ― executive producer, writer, director, and the creator of the reboot ― said in a statement that the new Queer as Folk series centers on a group of “people who live vibrant, vital, unapologetically queer lives.” Comprised of an “electric ensemble of fresh characters that mirror the modern global audience,” the reboot, just like the original, “doesn’t shy away from the harsh realities” of the LGBTQIA+ community.
According to Russell T. Davies ― the creator of the original series who also serves as an executive producer on the reboot, “the 2022 show is more diverse, more wild, more free, more angry – everything a queer show should be.”
