For the first time in its 26-year history, streetwear brand Supreme has entered the beauty and cosmetics industry with a special limited-edition lipstick made in collaboration with celebrity makeup artist Pat McGrath.
Part of Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection, the lipstick is an exclusive variant of Pat McGrath Labs’ MatteTrance Lipstick, which features a “high-intensity hydrating pigment” especially formulated to pack a serious and long-lasting color punch, without drying out the lips. In a press release, McGrath described the color of the Supreme/Pat McGrath Labs lipstick “iconic red.”
First unveiled on McGrath’s Instagram account earlier this week, the new lipstick is housed in Pat McGrath Labs’ signature gilded tube, which features a pair of gold lips where the lid meets the base. The lipstick’s tube and its accompanying outer box both have a color red base, and are adorned with the iconic Supreme logo emblazoned in white.
The price of the lipstick, as well as its exact release date, have not been announced yet. The first drop from Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2020 collection, however, is reportedly due this week, suggesting that the lipstick may be made available very soon.
Though the lipstick is Supreme’s first-ever beauty product, it’s still expected to sell out fast given the success of the brand’s past collaborations. In addition to the Supreme/Pat McGrath Labs lipstick, Supreme’s Fall/Winter 2020 accessories collection also includes a Kartell Trix modular sofa bed, a Colgate Cavity Protection toothpaste, a Chucky doll, a Mortal Kombat arcade cabinet, a Flos Bellhop lamp, and many others.
