Ulta Beauty has expanded its Harry Potter makeup collection with four new cosmetic kits based on Hogwarts houses Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.
Each makeup kit includes a six-piece eyeshadow palette, a tinted lip balm, a metallic gel eyeliner, and a jar of highlighting pearls. The Gryffindor kit contains items with warmer tones with pops of maroon and gold. The Hufflepuff beauty box, meanwhile, is comprised of items with shades of yellow and rust-colored tones. Compared to the first two, the Ravenclaw and Slytherin kits feature items with cooler tones. The former is dominated with different hues of blue, while the latter shimmers with green and silver.
The eyeshadow palette included in each kit appears to be an upgrade of Ulta Beauty’s first Harry Potter-themed eyeshadow palettes that were launched last July. While the new eyeshadow palettes are smaller with six shades instead of nine, each of the palettes features a better mix of mattes and shimmers.
But the standout item in the new cosmetic kit is probably the gel eyeliner, as it features a striking design that resembles a quill and ink jar. The quill-shaped lid also doubles as brush applicator, making it even cooler.
All four makeup kits are also beautifully presented in boxes featuring the signature emblems of the Hogwarts houses: lion for Gryffindor, badger for Hufflepuff, eagle for Ravenclaw, and snake for Slytherin.
The makeup kits are now available to purchase on the Ulta Beauty website for $28 each. It appears, however, that the Hufflepuff kit is already out of stock.
