Skateboarding lifestyle brand Supreme and denim specialist True Religion have partnered for a new clothing collection packed with Y2K fashion nostalgia.
The Supreme x True Religion Fall 2021 collection, which looks a lot like a tribute to the Jim Jones era of hip-hop fashion, includes baggy pairs of denim cargo pants that have been given the signature True Religion treatment through chunky white stitching, distressed denim whiskering, and horseshoe pocket embroidery.
Available in black, blue, pink, and camouflage colorways, the denim cargo pants can be worn together with the collection’s denim trucker jacket, which also comes in four colors.
The collection also includes a zip-up hooded sweatshirt featuring the Supreme logo and the iconic True Religion guitar-wielding Buddha graphic with the phrase “Forever Blessed” emblazoned underneath. The hoodie also comes in four different colors: black, orange, purple, and gray.
Completing the collection are rhinestone-adorned 6-panel caps and comfy beanies, which both come in a variety of colors.
Fans first suspected a possible collaboration between Supreme and True Religion when Supreme-sponsored skateboarder Tyshawn Jones was spotted wearing the abovementioned zip-up hooded sweatshirt earlier this month at a mural unveiling in the Bronx.

The entire Supreme x True Religion Fall 2021 collection except for the 6-panel caps will be available for purchase on SupremeNewYork.com/shop starting September 30th in the U.S. and beginning October 2nd in Japan. The 6-panel caps will be released at a later date, which has yet to be revealed.
The official announcement of the Supreme x True Religion Fall 2021 collection comes over a year after True Religion filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in April 2020. In an interview with Forbes last May, Michael Buckley, who was president of True Religion from 2006 to 2010 before returning to the brand in 2019, said they saw a new opportunity to pivot to collaborations, especially ones that might appeal to Gen Z.
