To mark the 35th anniversary of Tetris, Puma has created a sneaker and apparel collection inspired by the classic video game first released in 1984.
This Puma x Tetris collab includes special editions of the shoe brand’s RS 9.8 and RS-X sneakers. The Puma x Tetris RS 9.8 features ‘80s running silhouette, a Puma x Tetris label at the tongue, graphic Tetris print at the back heel, and round TPU pieces at the heel and midsole.
Like the RS 9.8, the Puma x Tetris RS-X also has a Puma x Tetris label at the tongue. But what makes it unique are its color-blocked rubber outsole, textured heel piece with heel pull loop, and colorful 3D TPU pieces at the midsole. The words “Hard Drop” are also printed on the heel, which refers to the event in the game in which a Tetromino drops instantly to where the Ghost Piece is.
The Puma x Tetris RS 9.8 and RS-X are available in men’s and women’s sizes for $100 and $120, respectively. The RS-X is also available in kids’ sizes for $95 a pair.
Completing the collection are Puma x Tetris men’s track jacket, men’s track pants, and men’s tee. Made from old-school nylon material, the $85 track jacket features a retro color-blocking and a graphic Formstrip at the back filled in with a unique Tetris-inspired print. The track jacket’s matching track pants sell for $75 a pair. Lastly, priced at $35, the men’s tee is made cooler with a Puma x Tetris branding at the chest and a retro graphic at the back.
The entire collection is now available at Puma stores and Puma’s website.
