Footwear company Skechers and YouTube channel Ryan’s World have teamed up for a colorful shoe collection for children.
Launched on July 8th, the Skechers x Ryan’s World collection is co-created by Ryan Kaji, the 9-year-old star of the Ryan’s World franchise, whose YouTube channel boasts over 30 million subscribers. Ryan worked with the Skechers Kids design team on the fun shoe lineup, marking the first time a major shoe brand has offered a kid YouTube star a global footwear deal.
Developed by Skechers, franchise builder pocket.watch, and the Kaji family’s production company Sunlight Entertainment, the collaboration is currently comprised of three shoe styles: Ryan’s Challenge, Gamer Ryan, and Red Titan.
Ryan’s Challenge ($59)
This sporty slip-on sneaker features a light-up midsole, colorful Ryan’s World theme design, and a Skechers x Ryan’s World logo detail. It has a colorblock mesh and synthetic upper with bungee laces and a hook-and-loop strap with an on/off switch for light effects.
Gamer Ryan ($62)
Featuring a colorblock sporty mesh and smooth synthetic upper with a Ryan’s World theme design, this shoe has a slip-on laced front and a Magna-Fit magnetic toggle closure. It also features cushioned lightweight midsole with sculpted accents and a flexible rubber traction outsole.
Red Titan ($57)
This mid-top sneaker features a soft canvas upper with a lace-up sporty skate-inspired design. Adorned with a colorful Ryan’s World theme print and a Red Titan character graphic, this shoe completes its playful look with a vulcanized-look midsole and a flexible grippy style outsole.
“These shoes are awesome and I know my fans will love them,” said Ryan in a statement. “It was amazing to help design the sneakers and we did some super cool things in a special video that I can’t wait for everyone to see!”
