The latest flavor of Lucky Charms cereals has officially hit store shelves.

First announced in November 2022, Lucky Charms S’mores started to roll out to grocery stores and other retailers across the United States this January 2023. And based on the early reviews of the new product, it looks like General Mills — the maker of Lucky Charms cereals — has another smash hit on its hands.

What is Lucky Charms S’mores?

Lucky Charms S'mores

Lucky Charms S’mores is a s’mores-flavored cereal manufactured by General Mills. According to the product’s official description, General Mills uses sweetened corn and wheat cereal to replicate the crunchy, sweet taste of graham crackers in s’mores. As for the decadent taste of the chocolate bar sandwiched between the graham crackers of the campfire treat, General Mills uses the same chocolate-flavored cereals featured in Chocolate Lucky Charms. Lastly, to recreate the chewy texture of marshmallows in s’mores, General Mills adds Lucky Charms’ iconic marshmallows into the mix. These marshmallows come in the shapes of hearts, shooting stars, horseshoes, clovers, crescent moons, unicorns, rainbows, and red balloons

Like any cereals, Lucky Charms S’mores can be enjoyed with milk as a quick breakfast or easy brunch. They can also be consumed as an ice cream topping or used as an ingredient for baked s’mores cereal bars, marshmallow cookies, or cakes.

Available in 10.5-ounce boxes, Lucky Charms S’mores offers a total of eight servings, with each 37-gram serving containing 140 calories. Aside from its comforting flavor, the cereal is also a good source of various vitamins and minerals, including Calcium Carbonate, Vitamin C (sodium ascorbate), Iron and Zinc (mineral nutrients), A B Vitamin (niacinamide), Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), Vitamin B1 (thiamin mononitrate), Vitamin A (palmitate), Vitamin B2 (riboflavin), A B Vitamin (folic acid), Vitamin B12, and Vitamin D3.

According to an early buyer of Lucky Charms S’mores, the new cereal tastes just like the real thing. “I got this cereal the other day and let me say it’s amazing, it tastes just like s’mores,” wrote the customer on the product’s official page. “And it’s on budget so it’s gonna be great for the kids too. Aye, Lucky Charms you did great with this one.”

While Lucky Charms S’mores is the brand’s first-ever S’mores-flavored cereal, Lucky Charms is no stranger to releasing chocolatey cereals. In 2005, Chocolate Lucky Charms cereal was introduced as a limited-edition iteration, and eventually became one of the permanent flavors of the brand. Then in 2018, Lucky Charms began selling the limited-edition Chocolatey Winter Mix that featured snowflake-shaped marshmallows.
