Levi’s much-awaited Super Mario apparel collection is finally here!
The clothing brand’s collaboration with Nintendo was originally scheduled to launch on April 1st, but product delays in North and South America pushed back its release. The cause of the product delays was unclear but it’s most likely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Though Levi’s was late to announce the hiccup, the company apparently got everything sorted out, as the collection finally went live on Thursday on its website.
The extensive collection includes trucker jackets, overalls, jeans, shorts, hoodies, and shirts, featuring brightly-colored graphics of Mario, Luigi, Yoshi, Bowser, and Princess Peach, among many others. In addition to flashy Super Mario designs emblazoned on the front and back of most items, there are also some subtle Super Mario motifs found across the collection.
These low-key designs include gold coin graphics peeking out of jean pockets, mushrooms and stars on Levi’s back patches, Levi’s tabs in special colors with vintage video game-inspired font, and shank buttons in red, blue, green, and yellow. The 501 ‘93 straight jean of the collection also has a special “POWER UP” custom selvedge on the cuff, and a print of Mario himself running around the inside waistband.
Besides clothes, the collection also includes bags, bandanas, and caps. Below are some photos of the standout items from the collab.
Super Mario all-over print trucker jackets, jeans, shorts, and hoodie
Super Mario denim trucker jackets, shortalls, and overalls
Super Mario graphic hoodie and t-shirt
As of writing, some items in the collection have already sold out. But you’ll probably be able to purchase some of them on eBay and other online marketplaces at a higher price.
In related news, Levi’s is having its Silver Lining sale until April 20th. You’ll receive 40% off sitewide when you use the promo code SILVER40 at checkout. Unfortunately, this promotion doesn’t apply to the Super Mario collection.
