Bugs Bunny turns 80 this year, and to mark this huge milestone, Looney Tunes has partnered with Converse for a special collection of sneakers and apparel featuring the beloved rascally rabbit.
The collection features five footwear options: three takes on the Chuck Taylor All Star, a Chuck 70, and a Pro Leather.
The lineup’s pairs of Chuck Taylor All-Star arrive in one low-top and two high-top makeups. The standout pair among the three is the one with a black colorway featuring a graphic of Bugs Bunny chewing a carrot on the lateral side, and an image of the character chopping up a classic Converse badge with scissors on the medial side. There’s also a red Chuck Taylor All-Star that is adorned with embroidered decors on both sides: a grinning Bugs Bunny visage on the medial side and a Converse badge on the lateral side. Completing the trio is a pair of white low-cut shoes that displays an illustration of Bugs Bunny’s evolution through the years. All three Chuck Taylor All-Star styles come with a commemorative 80th-anniversary tongue tag.
The collection’s Chuck 70, meanwhile, features an upper that is entirely covered with soft gray and light cream fur. It is decorated with a small Bugs Bunny graphic on the lateral heel, a multi-color circular print on the medial badge, and the text “What’s Up, Doc?” printed inside the tongue.
Lastly, the Pro Leather pair features a gray and tan suede upper, a “What’s Up, Doc?” text that replaces the footwear’s standard gold midfoot badge, and an embroidered image of a carrot on the rear of the lateral side.
As mentioned above, the collection also features a number of clothing items and these include short-sleeve tees in white and black, a black long-sleeve tee, and a gray hoodie with a white hood. To provide a matching look, all these apparel pieces feature similar designs and motifs found in the shoes.
The Converse x Bugs Bunny 80th anniversary collection will be available for purchase on Converse.com starting October 27th, with prices ranging from $35-$100.
