Following the success of their first collaboration last summer, Levi’s and Hello Kitty have teamed once again for a new collection of clothing and accessories to celebrate Sanrio’s 60th anniversary.
The fall-winter assortment, which debuted on Wednesday on Levi.com and on the Levi’s app, is comprised of T-shirts, hoodies, jeans, shorts, tote bags, bandanas, and face masks. Available in men’s and women’s fits, the T-shirts ($25-$30) and hoodies ($65-$70) in the collection are customizable, allowing customers to choose their preferred color, graphic design, and graphic placement. They can also add their name or a word of their choice to some of the T-shirts and hoodies, as part of the phrase “Hello ___.”
The assortment’s jeans ($148) and shorts ($98), which feature line-drawn pattern of Hello Kitty and some of her friends, can also be customized according to the customer’s desired type of wash, overdye, pattern, distress, and back patch.
Like the T-shirts and hoodies, the tote bag ($25-$30) in the collection also allows customers to choose the color they like as well as the text and graphic that will be featured in the bag. The lineup’s bandana ($20) and reusable face masks ($10) are not customizable, but the latter comes in two different designs.
In other Sanrio news, Hello Kitty is set to make a virtual appearance at GCDS’ digital showcase during Milan Fashion Week on September 25th. GCDS co-founder and creative director Giuliano Calza will unveil the spring men’s and women’s collection of the Italian streetwear brand with a digital clothing experiment at the event. The front row for the show will reportedly feature a Hello Kitty sighting.
