Kanye West’s Yeezy Gap hooded sweatshirt has finally arrived.
Described as the “perfect hoodie,” the Yeezy Gap hoodie officially dropped on Wednesday and is now exclusively available for purchase on gap.com/yeezy.
Made from 100 percent double-layered cotton, the Yeezey Gap hoodie comes in six different colors: the classic black and blue ― which West has been spotted wearing several times since his deal with Gap was announced ― as well as red, purple, brown, and mustard yellow. Retailing for $90 for adults and $70 for kids sizing, the hoodie ships in two to eight weeks in the U.S. only.
The hoodie is the second product for the Yeezy Gap. It follows the June launch of the collaboration’s $200 puffer jacket, which was released in black and red.
The partnership between Yeezy and Gap was officially announced in June 2020. Under the 10-year deal, with the option to renew after five years, Gap will pay royalties and potential equity to Yeezy — of which West is the sole owner — based on sales performance. According to reports at that time, the deal was worth close to $1 billion.
The collaboration between the two brands is a full circle moment for West, who worked at a Gap store in Chicago when he was a teenager. In an interview with Vanity Fair back in 2015, the rapper shared that he wanted to be Gap’s creative director.
Though upcoming Yeezy Gap products are yet to be announced, it was reported earlier this month that West filed an application to trademark his name for a number of home products that include blankets, pillowcases, towels, and the like.
