Supreme and Dickies have come together for the first time to work on a new collection of quilted denim workwear.
First teased last August, the Supreme x Dickies Fall 2021 collection is an assortment of stylish and heavy-duty apparel that includes quilted denim coveralls, quilted denim work jackets, and quilted denim work pants. Each item in the clothing capsule comes in four different colors. In addition to the usual black and blue workwear pieces, the collaboration also features coveralls, jackets, and pants in bright pink and a black and white camouflage print. All items in the collection are marked with a co-branded tag that displays the iconic logos of Supreme and Dickies.
The inaugural collab between Supreme and Dickies is inspired by the latter’s humble workwear roots. Founded by C.N. Williamson and E.E. “Colonel” Dickie, Dickies started making tough denim bib overalls for ranchers and farmhands throughout the Southwest back in 1922. During World War II, the brand was sequestered by the U.S. government and halted its consumer business to produce nine million heavy-duty twill uniforms for the war effort. Fast forward to 1967, Dickies’ popular 874 twill work pant was developed with the durable 65% poly and 35% cotton blend fabric that would become the brand’s signature. With a rich history behind it, Dickies is known today for its quality, toughness, and value.
The entire Supreme x Dickies Fall 2021 collection will be available for purchase on the Supreme web store and physical locations in the U.S. starting December 23rd, before launching in Japan on December 25th.
