Hilarious Disney x Avengers mashups

This is how your favorite Disney characters would look like if they were members of the Avengers.

Long before The Walt Disney Company acquired Marvel Entertainment in 2009, lots of fans were already dreaming of seeing their favorite Disney characters and Marvel superheroes share the same screen. And since the acquisition was finalized, the fans’ desire for a crossover has become stronger.

While fans have yet to see a prominent Marvel superhero makes an appearance in a tentpole Disney film, Avenger members Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Spider-Man had actually been featured in Season 4, Episode 22 of the Disney animated series Phineas and Ferb back in 2013.

Titled Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, the crossover saw the abovementioned Marvel heroes being transported to Phineas and Ferb’s Danville and rendered powerless by one of Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s power-draining “inators.” When Marvel villains Red Skull, Whiplash, Venom, and M.O.D.O.K. discovered that Dr. Doofenshmirtz successfully stripped the superheroes of their powers, they teamed up with the evil scientist to wreak even more havoc in Danville. To save their home city, Phineas and Ferb tried to restore the superheroes’ powers before it’s too late.

Clearly, the episode was Disney’s little gift for fans who had patiently waited for a crossover between the two properties. Though it was fun to watch, the episode wasn’t really the kind of crossover that fans were hoping to see.

Since Disney is best known for its fairy tales, most of the fans are seemingly more interested in seeing the company’s classic princesses, princes, and villains come face to face with the Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. But since it’s unclear whether that could actually happen in the future, several illustrators from around the world, including Christopher Stoll (USA), JOSGUI (France), and Renny08 (Italy), took the matter into their own hands by creating pieces of fan art that marry the most popular Disney characters and the most beloved Marvel  Avengers.
