Hot Topic's Harry Potter Hoodie Cloaks

Are you on a hunt for new Harry Potter apparel that you can wear in public without looking like a cosplayer? If you are, then your search is over, as retail chain Hot Topic has the exact clothing item for you.

Called Harry Potter hoodie cloak, this outerwear comes in four different designs based on Hogwarts houses Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Each hoodie cloak features a drawstring hood, two hip pockets, and a hidden wand pocket.

Unlike the wizard and witch robes worn by Hogwarts students in the movies, these Harry Potter hoodie cloaks look so casual that they can easily pass as streetwear. Made from 85 percent cotton and 15 percent polyester, these hoodie cloaks also look more comfortable to wear than the wizarding robes seen in the movies.

Though listed in men’s sizes XS to 3X, these hoodie cloaks are unisex and retail for $59.90 to $63.90 each. As of writing, the hoodie cloaks are also part of Hot Topic’s current Buy Two Get One Free Harry Potter sale, which allows shoppers to purchase 2 Harry Potter merchandise items in their regular price and get the third item for free.

The release of Hot Topic’s Harry Potter hoodie cloaks coincided with the 54th birthday of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling. The best-selling author was born on Yate, Gloucestershire, England on July 31st, 1965. Interestingly, in Rowling’s fictional world of Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived was also born on July 31st, but in the year 1980.
