The stunning Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 just got even thinner

Not that it was ever clunky, but the already very swanky Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 just got updated and that update includes a new thinner design which is 8% thinner than its predecessor.

In addition to being slimmed down, the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 now packs in a larger 16:10  display. The new edge-to-edge screen offers a 7% larger viewing experience with Dell’s smallest laptop webcam ever now being located at the top bezel. The display is available in a choice of FHD+ and UHD+, and it can be configured with Eyesafe technology which helps reduce harsh blue light emissions. Eyesafe is an ideal option for anyone who is sensitive to cooler colors.

When it comes to performance, the 2019 Dell XPS 1-in-1 is also a lot more powerful than the previous generation thanks to being powered by Intel’s 10th Gen Intel Core processors. Despite this extra power, Dell says that the laptop manages to stay cool thanks to their new actively cooled 15w design. This is a pretty drastic internal change when you consider that the previous generation XPS 13 2-in-1 featured a fanless design.

The new XPS 13 2-in-1 design also features a larger touchpad that is complemented by an edge-to-edge MagLev keyboard. The laptop is now crafted from CNC machined aluminum with high polished diamond cut sidewalls and it’s available in a choice of black carbon fiber or arctic white. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 5 materials.

Dell has updated their XPS 15 so that it’s now available with up to Core i9 processors, and it can be configured with an UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD (3840 x 2160) InfinityEdge 15.6” touch display option, as well as with an OLED option.
