Lenovo’s ThinkPad P1 is a powerful workstation laptop that manages to be incredibly lightweight

Workstation laptops have a reputation for being powerful, but they are are also known for being clunky, which is why Lenovo’s new ThinkPad P1 changes everything.

The new ThinkPad P1 packs in a 15.6” 4K IPS yet it manages to weigh just 3.76 lbs, and it measures just 18.4mm thin, making it Lenovo’s thinnest and lightest mobile workstation ever. Even its power supply is 35 percent smaller and lighter than the previous generation.

Under the hood, the workstation laptop can be configured with up to 8th Gen Intel Xeon processors and NVIDIA Quadro P2000 pr P1000 graphics. And of course, like all ThinkPads, it has also been tested for Mil-Spec tested and it sports the signature ThinkPad black finish, glass touchpad, and keyboard.

If a 15.6” display isn’t enough screen real estate for you, Lenovo is also introducing their new ThinkPad P72 workstation which sports a 17-inch display and can be configured with even more power; with NVIDIA Quadro graphics – up to a P5200, up to 6TB of storage, 128GB of memory and 16GB of Intel Optane memory.

Both ThinkPads will be available at the end of the month. Pricing for the P1 starts at $1949 and $1799 for the P72.
