After DC FanDome became too big to contain in a single day, DC has transformed the highly anticipated virtual experience for all DC fans into two separate events: DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes and DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse.
DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes will transport fans into an epic virtual world designed personally by DC Comics chief creative officer Jim Lee. Set to stream exclusively on DCFanDome.com for free, the event will feature special programming, panels, and exclusive reveals from DC films, TV series, games, comics and more. Starting on Saturday, August 22nd at 1 p.m. ET, the eight-hour show will air three times during a 24-hour period, giving fans all across the world the chance to experience the first-of-its-kind virtual convention. Check out the full DC FanDome: Hall of Heroes schedule here.
DC FanDome: Explore the Multiverse, meanwhile, is a free 24-hour, on-demand experience that will be accessible to fans from all over the world via DCFanDome.com beginning on Saturday, September 12th at 1 p.m. ET. With full access to more than 100 hours of on-demand content that includes exclusive panel sessions, screenings, and never-before-seen materials from the DC Multiverse, fans can curate their own unique experience using the DC FanDome Online Scheduler Tool. Also launching on September 12th is DC Kids FanDome, a one-day-only and kid-friendly companion event to DC FanDome that will kick off at 1 p.m. ET at DCKidsFanDome.com.
“This is an incredible way to deliver for our fans and offer them twice the DC FanDome experience,” said Lee of DC’s decision to turn the much-awaited virtual convention into two events. “Seeing all the feedback in real-time on social media, we realized that the only way to do ‘Justice’ to DC FanDome was to allow it to evolve and expand into two unique events.”
All content from both events will be presented in nine languages, including Portuguese, Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish. Also, in case you’re wondering, DCFanDome.com will be fully accessible on a smartphone, tablet, laptop and desktop computer.
