If you love spicy food, then you must try Arby’s newest sandwich called Diablo Dare.

Described by the fast-food chain as the “spiciest sandwich on the market,” Diablo Dare has five sources of heat: ghost pepper jack cheese, fiery hot seasoning, fire-roasted jalapenos, Diablo BBQ sauce, and red chipotle bun. Available in two varieties – crispy chicken and smoked brisket, the limited-time sandwich launched last Monday and will be available through February 6th at participating Arby’s locations nationwide, starting at $5.99, including a 12-ounce vanilla milkshake for free.

“We Diablo Dare you to try this new sandwich,” Arby’s Chief Marketing Officer Patrick Schwing said in a statement. “This is not a sandwich for the faint of heart. Everyone in [quick service restaurants] says they have a spicy option, but our research tells us that consumers are disappointed by fast food claims of spicy. We took that as a challenge by making sure all different types of spicy – the hot, the numbing, and the lingering are combined to make the Diablo Dare a true test of how much heat you can handle. Arby’s is setting a new standard of spice – when we say it, we mean it.”

True to its name, Diablo Dare is being promoted as a challenge for the most daring foodies. Starting January 18th, fans can go to TikTok and “use a branded effect filter to show their followers how much of the Diablo Dare sandwich they can take before reaching for relief with the vanilla shake.” Fans can follow the challenge at #ArbysDiabloDare.

The launch of Arby’s Diablo Dare follows the debut of Wendy’s Jalapeno Popper Sandwich, Burger King’s spicy chicken sandwich, and McDonald’s spicy chicken sandwich, which have all become available last year. Other fast-food chains like Boston Market, Taco Bell, Chipotle, and Popeye’s are also serving an assortment of spicy protein options and toppings.
