This PC-only mod personalizes your in-game character’s hairstyle

You can now change your hairstyle with this Cyberpunk 2077 mod 1

In the world of video games where personalization is regarded as a very important factor in a gaming experience, the creators of Cyberpunk 2077 have made it so that you can no longer change your hairstyle once you exit the initial character customization menu. This strategy does seem a bit limiting for players, fortunately, a mod has been made as a workaround.

The mode does require going through a list of simple instructions to follow and once done successfully, it allows you to swap out your current hair with other presets. You can’t make and customize your own style but at least you’re not stuck with one type of hairdo – especially if you like expressing your own personality through your in-game character.

The mod for PC users was created by UTF_8x and it can be accessed over at Nexus Mods. The mode is able to swap around codes referring to the game’s hair design, so you can pretend to have a haircut at Night City once in a while. Its creator also mentioned the possibility of being able to switch facial hair in the future.

As this is not an official way of tweaking your character, be sure to have a duplicate of your original data before attempting to fiddle with the settings.

Cyberpunk 2077 is now available on multiple platforms but there have been reports of numerous glitches to the point that CD Projekt Red, the game’s developer and publisher, is offering refunds if you’re not happy with the game.
