Last year, OnePlus revealed a limited-edition Cyberpunk 2077-themed OnePlus 8T. It was announced a couple of days before the game’s global release but, like many limited edition OnePlus phones, it was released in China only. Fortunately, the OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition is finally available to purchase in the U.S.
The OnePlus 8T is a very capable phone and being decked out in that cyberpunk colors and design elements really takes it to the next level. Luckily, you now don’t have to know someone in China to get one, because you can now get one from Giztop for $849.99 or from Walmart for $899.
The special-edition Cyberpunk 2077 variant is decked out in black with slight touches of yellow on the edge. It also has a textured center and an extremely large camera module adorned with a barcode and yellow ‘2077’ near the bottom.
Inside the box, you get a special OnePlus poster, a Cyberpunk-themed case and collectible pins, and the usual charging brick and cable. The phone adopts much of the same specs as the US variant including a 120Hz screen, Snapdragon 865 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage.
The phone runs on Hydrogen OS based on Android 11 and sports a native theme that is, unsurprisingly, based on Cyberpunk 2077 as well and includes two special filters for its cameras namely Night City and North Carolina.
Giztop assures that the phone is compatible with both 4G and 5G networks in different parts of the world including the US, Europe, and Australia. Reviews on Giztop report that the phone works in Bulgaria, Mexico, and the US and that it also works on Verizon carriers. One user did mention having trouble with local streaming services which is understandable since it was a phone designed for use in China. But if you do love that Cyberpunk 2077 aesthetic, it’s a risk you’ll be willing to take. And if you don’t love Cyberpunk 2077, you might still want to consider getting this limited edition phone because it’s one of the coolest phone designs we’ve come across to date.
