Xiaomi makes one of the most popular electric kickscooters in the world and today they’re launching its successor, the Mi Scooter Pro 2, a powerful follow-up to the original Mi Scooter Pro.

The new Mi Scooter Pro 2 is an “intelligent transportation device” that can go up to 25km/h with an increased climbing angle of 20%. Running on a 12,800 mAh battery and 300W motor, like its predecessor, the Mi Scooter Pro 2 can go as far 45km on a single charge. According to the company, it takes about 8.5 hours to fully charge the scooter.

Like its predecessor, the Mi Scooter Pro 2 also sports a built-in LCD which gives riders information such as real-time speed, riding modes, and headlight status all at a glance. Being a smart device, users will also be able to pair their phones via Bluetooth and access information about their rides through the Mi Home app. The app will also be able to display pertinent information about the scooter such as battery level, speed, and current mileage so users can properly maintain their device.

Xiaomi also, of course, keeps the safety of its users in mind. The company has loaded the Mi Scooter Pro 2 with a dual braking system with a mechanical 120mm ventilated disc brake as well as an eABS regenerative anti-lock brake. The scooter will also be able to withstand bumpy roads thanks to its shock-absorbing 8.5-inch reinforced pneumatic tires.

Upfront, the Mi Scooter Pro 2 is fitted with an upgraded 2W headlight that can reach up to 10 meters ahead. It’s coupled with front, rear, and side reflectors for greater visibility on the road.

And, of course, it still retains its portability by being able to fold down into a more compact form. Made of lightweight aluminum allow, the Mi Electric Scooter weighs just 14.2kg but can carry a max load of 100kg.
