Lenovo has unveiled the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3-powered laptop — the ThinkPad X13s and it manages to offer true all-day battery life that lasts up to 28 hours.

Unveiled at this year’s Mobile World Congress, the ThinkPad X13 is the newest addition to the company’s line of portable premium business laptops. Now with the all-new Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 platform, the ThinkPad X13s offers up to an 85% boost in performance, upgraded Wi-Fi, 5G support, AI features, and more.

Designed to accommodate the new hybrid lifestyle, Lenovo worked with Qualcomm and Microsoft to ensure that critical apps such as Microsoft 365, Sophos, Zoom, and more are easily handled by the ThinkPad X13s.

The ThinkPad X13s is Windows 11 ready and can also offer better emulation for legacy applications.

The device is Wi-Fi 6 and 5G-ready for fast connectivity and comes equipped with a 5-megapixel camera integrated with AI to offer advanced camera features such as auto-framing.

Noise suppression is handled by its triple-array microphones, while an IR camera offers smart human presence detection. This allows the device to assist in security, privacy, and power-saving by initiating actions like brightness dimming when users step away from the device.

The ThinkPad X13s will be available in the U.S. through AT&T at first, with Verizon to follow later on in the year. Pricing will start at $1099.
