TCL has just unveiled two affordable smartphones just in time for the holidays. The TCL 20 XE and the TCL 20A 5G are the company’s newest offerings, both with very attractive price tags.
But you won’t be seeing these phones just anywhere. The TCL 20 XE will exclusively be available at Metro by T-Mobile but will also head to Boost Mobile at a later date.
Priced at just $159.99 at Metro and $119 at Boost Mobile, the TCL 20 XE is designed for binge-watchers and entertainment junkies. With a large 6.52-inch HD+ display with a 20:0 aspect ratio, the 20 XE can provide a very comfortable viewing experience. It also has the company’s NXTVISION technology so users will be treated to clear and vibrant visuals. It’s powered by a MediaTek P22 processor supported by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card. It carries a triple camera system that consists of a 13-megapixel main, 2-megapixel depth, and 2-megapixel macro cameras. Selfies are handled by a 5-megapixel front camera. Additional features include a large 5,000mAh battery, facial recognition, a fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and dual noise-canceling microphones.
The TCL 20A 5G, on the other hand, will be available to Visible customers starting in November. This sub-$200 device is an affordable, all-around device that also offers a large 6.52-inch display with NXVISION technology. It offers a 60Hz refresh rate with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is also expandable via a microSD card (up to 512GB). For imaging, it carries a 16-megapixel main shooter supported by a 5-megapixel wide, and 2-megapixel macro. Around the front is a 13-megapixel selfie camera. It also offers a 4,500mAh battery, Hi-Res Audio support, facial recognition, and a fingerprint sensor.
