Think of the Stündenglass Gravity Hookah as the Rolls-Royce of gravity hookahs / bongs. It’s a masterfully designed 360° rotating glass hookah that creates a kinetic motion activation through cascading water displacement, opposing airflow technology, and the natural force of gravity. Not only is it stunning to look at, but Stündenglass is also a triple-threat – it’s able to vape herb, concentrate, and hookah. Heck, even Seth Rogen was impressed when he tried it.

The design and build of the Stündenglass is breathtaking. As a matter of fact, its design is so uniquely elegant that you likely won’t mind leaving it out on your coffee table or somewhere else. It also helps that it’s not easily recognizable as a gravity bong. Furthermore, its materials are just as impressive as its design. Every company likes to say so, but the Stündenglass is truly constructed using the highest quality materials. To that effect, we’ve never come across a gravity bong that is this well-made and sturdy. It’s worth mentioning that Stündenglass uses glass that is dishwasher safe, so it’s also easy to clean.
The box that Stündenglass comes packaged in doubles as a carrying case with a handle, which is absolutely necessary for those times when you plan on traveling with it. In the box, you get a hookah bowl, a glass bowl for flower, a 3-foot silicone hose, and some stickers. If you want to take advantage of using concentrate with it, you’ll need a 14mm male joint or a G-Pen, neither of which are included in the box.
Out of the box, the included instructions for setting up Stündenglass weren’t very straightforward because the parts on Stündenglass weren’t labeled in the instruction booklet. Fortunately, Stündenglass’ YouTube videos were very helpful in getting us going. We also struggled initially to figure out how to use the bong with concentrate, until we watched the YouTube videos.
For those germaphobes out there, you don’t have to actually touch Stündenglass’ mouthpiece to take draws – Stündenglass has a 45° adjustable mouthpiece that allows you to take contactless draws. The included silicone hose can also be used for taking draws, and it’s great for lounging while you smoke – just like you would with a traditional hookah.
We tested Stündenglass with both herbs and concentrate. With both forms, the draws are super smooth – so much so that Stündenglass has proven to be the smoothest gravity hookah / bong we’ve ever come across. That said, we found the vaping experience to be more powerful with herb than with concentrate.
If you want to adjust Stündenglass’ temperature, there simply is no way to do so. So if you’re looking for adjustable temperature control (for a stronger and hotter draw), then you should probably look elsewhere or consider investing in the G Pen Connect.
Stundenglass review verdict
Stundenglass isn’t just a hookah, it’s a design and engineering masterpiece. It’s both fun and engaging to use thanks to its unique 360° rotating glass and the ability to lounge while vaping with its tube. It will certainly wow and impress your friends! It also offers the smoothest draw we’ve ever experienced from a gravity hookah / bong! However, if you require an even smoother vaping experience, you should consider the Volcano Hybrid Vaporizer, however, the Volcano is not nearly as attractive or as “interactive” to use as Stündenglass.
Ultimately, the biggest catch with Stündenglass is its $499 price tag and the fact that for that price, if you want to use it with concentrate, you still need to purchase an additional accessory. Fortunately, Stündenglass comes with a generous warranty period which helps justify its high price tag. To that effect, Stündenglass is so confident with its product that they offer a 10-year warranty with purchase, just don’t forget to register the product.
