Star Trek: Discovery co-showrunner Michelle Paradise has confirmed that the production on season 4 of the CBS All Access series is now underway.

On Tuesday, Paradise posted a couple of tweets to mark the official start of the production on the show’s fourth-season run. “Day One of season 4!” reads the start of her first post, which also gives a shoutout to the show’s devoted writers and production team. “So proud of our room – breaking and writing from corners, kitchens, garages, & home offices. And our production team – prepping a new season is a lot, esp. in a pandemic,” continued Paradise. “They’ve done INCREDIBLE work to get us here and keep everyone safe.”

Paradise’s follow-up tweet, meanwhile, features a GIF of the Discovery jumping away, alongside the caption: “Season 4, here we go!”

On the same day, Doug Jones also took to social media to share photos of him before and after having his head shaved. “No one makes me do this, it’s my own decision to save the extra step and time of bald capping before my Kelpien prosthetics are applied,” wrote the actor, who plays freshly-promoted Captain Saru in the series.

Plot details for season 4 are being kept under wraps, as season 3 of the show is still rolling out on CBS All Access. “Season 3 just started airing, and we’re already looking ahead to many storylines later,” Jones said in an interview with ComicBook.com in October. “So I do feel a bit like a time traveler because it’s so fun to see all of the comments and reviews and social media posts, that people are just now seeing episode 2 or 3 of Star Trek: Discovery. Yeah, it’s like, ‘Oh, right. We did that. That was a thing. Oh, right, that’s what happened. Yes, that’s all coming back to me now.’”

Season 4 doesn’t have a release date yet, but new season 3 episodes currently debuts every Thursday on CBS All Access.
