Jamie Clayton is joining the cast of Roswell, New Mexico for Season 2.
Clayton, best known for starring as Nomi Marks in the Netflix original series Sense8, will play Agent Grace Powell in the sophomore run of The CW’s extraterrestrial drama. According to the network, Agent Powell goes to Roswell to investigate when someone she loves goes missing. But much to her shock, she discovers that the town is home to more buried secrets than she bargained for.
Clayton confirmed his casting in an Instagram post, revealing that Agent Powell is a recurring character.
Prior to starring in Sense8, Clayton appeared as Kyla in Season 3 of the HBO dramedy series Hung. She also recurred as Sasha Brooker in Season 3 of Netflix’s Designated Survivor, and will play Tess on Showtime’s The L Word: Generation Q, which will premiere on December 8th.
On the movie front, Clayton appeared in the thriller The Chain, crime drama The Snowman, and horror movie The Neon Demon.
Clayton joins previously announced Season 2 newcomers Gaius Charles and Jason Behr. Friday Night Lights alum Charles will recur as a local farmer, while Behr — who played Max Evans in the original 1999 Roswell series — will play a yet-to-be-revealed recurring role.
While plot details about Season 2 of Roswell, New Mexico are being kept under wraps, Liz Ortecho (Jeanine Mason) is expected to have a more difficult time in keeping extraterrestrials, especially now that there will be a new agent in town poking around.
Roswell, New Mexico Season 2 is set to premiere on March 16th, 2020 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
