Almost three and a half years after the 2016 launch of Pokémon Go, The Pokémon Company has finally launched the first ever official merchandise line based on the augmented reality mobile game.
Designed to outfit the Pokémon Go trainer on the move, the collection includes a variety of apparel and accessories emblazoned with iconography representing each team within the game: Zapdos for Team Instinct, Articuno for Team Mystic, and Moltres for Team Valor.

Since its launch, Pokémon Go has been downloaded over one billion times by players searching for and catching Pokémon “in the real world.” While the Pokémon franchise hasn’t really stopped expanding since it was created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995, the release of Pokémon Go put the franchise back on the spotlight, winning back former fans and creating an entirely new generation of Pokémon enthusiasts.
Though the popularity of Pokémon Go has diminished since its phenomenal launch, the game still has a loyal fanbase and continues to be one of the top best-selling apps.
